Our vibrant amethyst comes from Uruguay and Southern Brasil. It’s one of the most recognised crystals known for its rich purple colouring and has been celebrated for thousands of years for its healing and spiritual properties. It has associations with clarity and wisdom and many believe the stone has calming properties protecting the wearer from negative energies. The name comes from a Greek myth of a young woman named Amethyst who was attacked by the god Dionysus in a drunken rage and was turned to a beautiful violet stone.
