Meet The Team

We are a close-knit team and have been working together for years.

Anna and Gus met over 30 years ago traveling around Latin America and have been crafting jewellery ever since.

Dominika has been with us from the very start in the workshop and if you’ve been to any of our stalls you’ve probably come across her and her infectious laugh.

Vicky is our daughter and has worked with us at Roccabella, starting as a Saturday job, leaving for a few years to study jewellery at the Birmingham School of Jewellery - now back with us in the workshop.

About Roccabella

Roccabella was born in 2012 out of a fascination in creating unique jewellery from real leaves and raw gemstones. We handcraft our jewellery in Hastings in East Sussex. Our workshop has changed a lot in the last 10 years starting from our shed in the back garden to our shop/ workshop in Hastings Old Town.

Our aim with Roccabella is to make unique, beautiful jewellery using items from the natural world, enhancing the organic beauty that already exists. Electroforming is the wonderful technique that has allowed us to do this. It's sometimes unexpected results has often led to our favourite designs. We aim to produce accessible jewellery that you can both wear everyday as well as that special statement
piece.

Sustainability And Ethics

One of the things we love to do most is sourcing our gemstones. We work very hard to source our stones as directly as possible, travelling and hand picking our stones from all over the world from trusted sellers and contacts.

We strive to produce our jewellery in an ethical and sustainable way. Our gemstones are often offcuts or stones that can’t be used in traditional jewellery. We use reclaimed and recycled metals throughout our jewellery making process and recycle our metal waste. Our packaging is recyclable and plastic-free and we encourage you to keep them as a safe place for your jewellery.

Our Plans For The Future

We love developing and working on new ideas. Currently we’re working on a bespoke range making jewellery in sandcast sterling silver, 9ct and 18ct gold.  Taking inspiration from medieval and ancient jewellery but keeping our organic signature look. This is very much a work in progress - follow us on Instagram to keep up to date on our new ideas
